The Hard Rock Cafe building was constructed in 1888 by William Curry. The building was originally built as a house and was a wedding present from William to his son, Robert. Apparently, Robert suffered financial hardships as a consequence of gambling and poor investments, and subsequently hung himself on the second floor. His suicide has led some to believe that he is responsible for the phenomena reported.

The apparition of a man has been reported walking up the stairs and by shadows seen moving in the bar area.

Other effects include chairs and stools moving on their own, and the sounds of someone whistling and footsteps on the stairs.
